Amy Winehouse's debut album is an appetizing hint of the musical glories to come three years later with "Back To Black". Amy Winehouse and Jimmy Hogarth cowrote the best song on the album, "Help Yourself". Amy, Matt Rowe and Stefan Skarbek cowrote two excellent tunes: "Amy Amy Amy" and "October Song". Amy and Salaam Remi cowrote three good songs: "Fuck Me Pumps", "Stronger Than Me" and "In My Bed". "What Is It About Men" is also a very good tune. But the rest of the album is less impressive: "Cherry", "I Heard Love Is Blind", "You Sent Me Flying", "Know You Now", "Take The Box", "Brother", "Mr Magic Through The Smoke" and "Teo Licks". There are also two covers: "Moody's Mood For Love" and "There Is No Greater Love".
2006 Back To Black (11)
Amy Winehouse's second and greatest album. Five timeless classics: "Rehab", "Back To Black", "You Know I'M No Good", "Tears Dry On Their Own" and "Love Is A Losing Game". And six very good songs: "Me And Mr Jones", "Wake Up Alone", "Addicted", "Just Friends", "He Can Only Hold Her" and "Some Unholy War".
