1973 Desperado (10)

A country western album. Two timeless classics: "Tequila Sunrise" and "Desperado". Five good songs: "Doolin-Dalton", "Saturday Night", "Outlaw Man" and "Twenty-One". And three disappointments: "Certain Kind Of Fool", "Out Of Control" and "Bitter Creek". "Doolin-Dalton" appears on two separate tracks: one vocal and one instrumental. The last track on the album is a very good medley "Doolin-Dalton/Desperado (Reprise)".

1974 On The Border (9)

Six great songs: "Best Of My Love", "James Dean", "Midnight Flyer", "Already Gone", "You Never Cry Like A Lover" and "Is It True?". Three disappointments: "On The Border", "Good Day In Hell" and "My Man". "Ol' '55" is a cover song.

1975 One Of These Nights (9)

Three timeless classics: "Lyin' Eyes", "One Of These Nights" and "Take It To The Limit". One fine song: "Hollywood Waltz". And five disappointments: "After The Thrill Is Gone", "I Wish You Peace", "Too Many Hands", "Visions" and "Journey Of The Sorcerer".

1976 Hotel California (8)

Two timeless classics: "Hotel California" and "New Kid In Town". One fine tune: "Life In The Fast Lane". And five disappointments: "Wasted Time", "Victim Of Love", "Pretty Maids All In A Row", "Try And Love Again" and "The Last Resort".

Five excellent songs: "The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks", "In The City", "The Sad Café", "King Of Hollywood" and "Those Shoes". And two disappointments: "Teenage Jail" and "The Disco Strangler".

1994 Hell Freezes Over (4)

Mostly a live album. It contains eleven tracks recorded live in April 1994, as well as four new songs. Among them, there is one timeless classic: "Love Will Keep Us Alive". Also two great songs: "Get Over It" and "The Girl From Yesterday". And one weak track: "Learn To Be Still". 

2007 Long Road Out Of Eden (20) 

Thirteen good songs: "Busy Being Fabulous", "You Are Not Alone", "Somebody", "What Do I Do With My Heart", "Long Road Out Of Eden", "Waiting In The Weeds", "Fast Company", "Do Something", "Business As Usual", "Frail Grasp On The Big Picture", "It's Your World Now", "I Don't Want To Hear Any More" and "No More Cloudy Days". And six weak tracks: "Guilty Of The Crime", "Last Good Time In Town", "Center Of The Universe", "I Love To Watch A Woman Dance", "No More Walks In The Wood" and "I Dreamed There Was No War". "How Long" is an excellent cover song. The Deluxe collector's edition includes "Hole In The World", first released as a single in 2003.
